03 · THE FORMULATION

Every ingredient, and why it's in

L-Theanine

It increases calming neurotransmitters like GABA and serotonin while reducing stress responses to loud noises, visitors, or changes in routine.

Inositol

It helps manage neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine in humans, which control mood.

Chamomile Matricaria chamomilla

Contains apigenin, a natural plant compound that binds to brain receptors to ease tension without heavy sedation. Often used for mild stress like car rides, thunderstorms, or separation nervousness. Helps calm stress-related stomach upset and gas.

Passion flower Passiflora incarnata

Helps to relieve noise phobias (thunderstorms, fireworks), separation anxiety, and travel stress by promoting a relaxed state. May reduce unruly or reactive behavior when fear or overstimulation triggers aggression.

05 · QUESTIONS

What owners actually ask

In thunderstorm season, how often should I give this?

Because pet ears are far superior to human ears, this needs to be a daily supplement in order to have an effect on storm reactions. By the time we hear a storm approaching, our pets have been hearing it for a lot longer.

  1. Michele de Villiers

I have been using Calming Chews for my dog, Lily, for the past year. She has Addisons and has an anxiety issue. Before finding calming chews she was on an anti depressant that did not really help. The Calming chews have made a huge difference to her temperament. The best find ever! When I know the weather is going to be bad I give her an extra one and it helps her remain calm through the thunder as well.

Great news, Michele, thanks so much for letting us know. 🙂

  2. Kat

I have a 6 month old husky pup. This worked perfectly with her separation anxiety and mouthing.
